Tokyo Character Street: Anime and TV Shops Inside Tokyo Station

Tokyo Character Street is a row of more than 30 character shops on B1 and 1F of First Avenue Tokyo Station, the shopping area inside JR Tokyo Station. You can shop here before or after your train without leaving the station.

In short:

  • All six Tokyo TV stations have a shop here.
  • Official shops for JUMP, ONE PIECE, DRAGON BALL, Pokémon, and more are side by side.
  • Bigger stores are nearby in Nihombashi and Yurakucho, such as Pokémon Center TOKYO DX.

Store hours and floors below were checked on the official pages of each store or building in November 2026. They can change, so check the store’s page before you go.

Getting there

First Avenue Tokyo Station is inside JR Tokyo Station, outside the ticket gates. Exit any Yaesu gate from the shinkansen or other JR lines and you’re there (First Avenue Tokyo Station). If you’re catching a shinkansen, shop before you go through the gates.

Hours: 10:00–20:30 for every shop on the official shop list.

Bags: There’s a baggage check on 1F (Service 12), which can also send bags to airports in Japan. For coin lockers, the official page links to a map that shows which lockers are free.
