In collector slang, a “grail” is the one item you want most. Many of those items never get an English release: a manga volume that comes with a booklet or an acrylic stand, a store bonus, a first-press edition. Who runs this site
Japan Grail Digest is run by an individual collector based in Japan. We research items in Japanese — on publishers’ and makers’ official sites and on Amazon.co.jp itself — so you don’t have to.
English is not our first language. We use AI translation tools to help us write, and then check the content ourselves. If something reads oddly or looks wrong, please tell us through the Contact page.
How we write:
- Product pages are written from official sources (the publisher’s or maker’s announcements and the Amazon.co.jp listing). Unless we say so, we have not bought or held the item ourselves.
- When we do buy something, we write about it separately in the Diary, signed “The Grail Knight.”
- We don’t sell anything. Every purchase happens on Amazon.co.jp.
