Availability outlook
It comes out in Japan on January 27, 2027, and was open for pre-order on Amazon.co.jp when we checked. This is a limited-quantity edition with an Amazon.co.jp-only bonus, so once that stock is gone, this exact set is unlikely to come back.
This is the Japanese Blu-ray release of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, the second film in the three-part adaptation of Yoshiyuki Tomino’s 1989 novel. The film opened in Japan on January 30, 2026, and the Blu-ray comes out in Japan on January 27, 2027.
Two Japanese Blu-ray editions come with bonus discs: the Special Limited Edition and the Limited Quantity Edition, which adds the middle volume of the novel and a reading CD. This page is the Limited Quantity Edition. Every store includes the manufacturer’s bonus mini shikishi (a small art board), and each store adds its own bonus on top.
The Amazon.co.jp storage box uses new artwork by Naoyuki Onda (character design) and Seiichi Nakatani (mechanical design). According to the listing, it is sized to hold the Special Limited Edition.
The main feature has optional English subtitles. On Bonus Disc 1, English subtitles cover only part of the content, and Bonus Disc 2 lists no subtitles. The novel and the reading CD are in Japanese.
Amazon.co.jp lists this release as Blu-ray region-free, so it should play on Blu-ray players sold in any region. The region code is not listed in the official specifications. For how region codes work, see Are Japanese Blu-rays Region Locked?
If you only want to watch the film, the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray comes with the main feature disc only, without the bonus discs and the limited-edition items. The 4K format normally has no region code, but you need a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player. It is sold at Amazon.co.jp and AmiAmi. Compare the total cost to your country, including shipping, and the delivery time before you choose.

FAQ
Why are there so many listings for this Blu-ray?
In Japan, the film comes out on Blu-ray as a Limited Quantity Edition, a Special Limited Edition and a Standard Edition, plus a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and a DVD. Many stores in Japan add their own bonus to the limited editions, so the same edition is listed several times, once for each store’s bonus.
Can I get the storage box from another store?
No. The storage box comes only with orders from Amazon.co.jp. Other stores offer different bonuses with the same edition.
Does it have an English dub?
No, there is no English audio, but the main feature has optional English subtitles. On Bonus Disc 1, English subtitles cover only part of the content, and Bonus Disc 2 lists no subtitles.
