Dragon Ball S.H.Figuarts Collection Son Goku (Onwards to Adventure) Set
A set released in Japan on October 23, 2026, to mark the S.H.Figuarts Dragon Ball line passing 200 figures. It pairs a newly sculpted S.H.Figuarts Son Goku with DRAGON BALL S.H.Figuarts Collection, a full-color history book of the line.
The figure is based on an illustration Akira Toriyama drew for the Catchphrase Grand Prix in Weekly Shonen Jump 1989 issue 23. According to the official site, this is the first time Goku in this outfit has been made as an articulated figure. The statue it was developed from was sculpted by Hiroyuki Nakazawa, Ren Kato (Studio-Ren) and Yusuke Watanabe (WATANABOX).
The shoulders use the Dynamic-Movable Shoulder System, designed for poses like the Kamehameha. The Power Pole comes in two versions, straight and bent, and the cape at the waist comes in two versions, hanging and fluttering.
The book is Jump Comics size, so it sits on the shelf next to the original manga volumes. It covers more than 200 products, from the first S.H.Figuarts Dragon Ball figure in 2009 to the Goku in this set. It also has a new 3-page manga by Toyotarou, the artist of the Dragon Ball Super manga, plus interviews with the makers and columns.
The set is published by Shueisha, so it is listed as a book on Amazon.co.jp. The figure is made by BANDAI SPIRITS. Orders in Japan were taken from January 26 to March 31, 2026. The sculptors and the planner talk about the figure in a promotional video on the V Jump YouTube channel (in Japanese).
As of October 28, 2026, the official Dragon Ball site and the Tamashii Nations page list it for Japan only. The official site says it may be released overseas at a later date.
